Caravana TIFF la Alba Iulia - Spatiile RYMA

CONCEPT:
Amenajarea unui spațiu multicultural prin reabilitarea unor elemente de fortificație din Cetatea Alba Iulia.
LOCAȚIE:
Latura nordică a Cetății Alba Iulia, în spațiile concesionate de Asociația Culturală „R.Y.M.A.” (Revolutionary Youth Movement for Art), ravelinul Sf. Elisabeta Cristina..
SCOP:
Familiarizarea studenților cu practicile de restaurare cu mijloace tradiționale, în paralel cu restaurarea și reabilitarea în situ a unor elemente de fortificație din Cetatea Alba Iulia.
ACTIVITĂȚI:
Tabăra va cuprinde:

• Analiza peisajului istoric, prezentarea temei intervenției și a proiectului tehnic „Amenajarea nucleului cultural Poarta 7 pe latura de nord a Cetății Alba Iulia”
• Curs despre cărămidă, metode de țesere a cărămizilor + aplicații practice
• Varul în construcții – rețetar, aplicații practice
• Schița de schiță: mobilier urban, tâmplării baroce, modele panouri informative
• Probleme legate de umiditate, de șeminee și aerisiri – curs + aplicații practice
• Proiecții în aer liber de filme documentare, culturale și de scurt metraj
• Excursie de studiu la Roșia Montană, 14-15 august
• Crearea albumului foto și a catalogului informatizat al cursului.

Participanți și cursanți:

Tabăra se adresează studenților și absolvenților de la facultățile de:
ARHITECTURĂ, ISTORIE, ARHEOLOGIE, ARTE PLASTICE, FOTO-VIDEO
dar și liceenilor și voluntarilor care doresc să contribuie la amenajarea centrului cultural din Cetatea Alba Iulia. Participanții au posibilitatea să învețe și să practice meserie într-un mediu istoric natural, creând un model de reabilitare atât pentru celelalte spații din Cetate cât și pentru alte monumente de acest gen.

Tabăra de specializare în restaurarea monumentelor istorice se va echivala cu practica pentru studenți de la arhitectură, arheologie și istorie.

Taxa de înscriere este de 200 lei incluzând cazare la cort, duș ecologic, lemne de foc, 2 mese pe zi , echipamente de protecție, unelte de lucru, suport de curs, materiale de practică sau 350 lei incluzând aceleași facilități cu cazare in incinta spatiilor RYMA în camere cu 5 paturi. CONCEPT:
Establishing a multicultural environment through the rehabilitation of historic elements within the fortress of Alba Iulia.

LOCATION:
The northern part of the Alba Iulia fortress within the granted as concession area of the fortress to the „R.Y.M.A.” Cultural Association – (Revolutionary Youth Movement for Art). The part of the fortress destined to be rehabilitated has a surface of 6500qm and consists of interior spaces within the fortress walls and the afferent outer spaces .
AIM:
The skill adaptation of the students to the restauration practices with the help of traditional means and in parallel to the restauration and rehabilitation ‘in situ’ of fortification elements of the Alba Iulia Fortress. The specialization camp promotes principles of minimal and reversible interventions, the compatibility of materials and technologies applied in the restauration of the interior spaces of the Fortress to resemble the original ones, the use of human resources meaning students or alumni of education establishments with emphasis on archeology/architecture/restauration/art and the use of local materials.

ACTIVITIES:
Within the 10 days we will first get to know the historical site, we will learn the history, we will draw it fine with the help of archeological diggings, that means the revealing of the fundations to reconstruct the history and events of the place. We will learn how to build up historical brick/stone walls, to prepare mortar and plaster with traditional means and we will redesign the once military spaces to fit the requirements of contemporary cultural ones. We will redo the medival plaster work of the inner walls and we will lay-up new floors in the interior spaces and finally we will try to illuminate the indoors in order to transform the old historical spaces into a friendly cosy environment for cultural, artistic and recreational activities.

The camp consists of:
The analisys of historical landscape, presentation of the assignment of the intervention and of the technical project „The setup of the cultural nucleus the 7th Gate on the northern part of the Alba Iulia Fortress”
Course on brick, methods of building historical brick walls and practical applications.
The mortar on the traditional constructions – recipe, practical application.
Sketches design: urban furniture, baroque wooden framework, versions of info panels.
Problems regarding humidity, historical fireplaces & fountains – course and practical applications.
Projections of documentaries, short and cultural films in open air.
Study trip, camping at Rosia Montana (14-15 august), analisys of the build patrimony
Making of the photo album and of the digital catalogue of the course.

Participants:
The rehabilitation workshop addresses to students of faculties or similar:
ARCHITECTURE
HISTORY
ARCHEOLOGY
ARTS
PHOTO-VIDEO, DIGITAL

But also to highschool pupils or volunteers who want to contribute to the developing of the cultural centre within the Alba Iulia Fortress. The participants have the possibility to learn and to practice the actual work within the natural historical environment by creating a rehabilitation model not only for the other parts of the fortress but also for other monuments of the kind.

This restauration camp will be the equivalent of the practical internship for students of architecture, archeology and history.

The enrty fee is 200 lei (50 euros) which includes camping on the fortress premises, ecological shower, wood for heating, two meals a day ten days long, protection equipment, working tools, course support, practice materials or 350 lei (90 euros) including the same facilities and accomodation within the interior fortress premises in rooms of 4-6 beds ten days long.
The deadline for the registration is 04.08.2010.
